Service Information

The region of Tuscany encompasses the regions of Arezzo, Florence, Grosseto, Livorno, Lucca, Massa and Carrara, Pisa, Prato, Pistoia and Sienna.

Some of the main produce from the area for which we transport consists of marble and granite from Massa and Carrara, leather goods from Florence, and some of the most famous wines of Italy such as Chianti and the super-tuscans; Brunello di Montalcino and Sassicaia, the latter with a hefty price tag!

On the Eastern side of Italy opposite Tuscany, along the Adriatic coastline are some very important commercial areas, as well as very popular holiday locations. Starting at Ravenna, working your way down the coast you pass Rimini and Pesaro, where shortly after you reach Ancona, one of the main ports in the Adriatic Sea, and where many trailers ship from to Greece.

Our freight services to Central Italy

A development in the latter part of 2012 lead us into the transport of waste products. As a result, since then, we are transporting waste to Arezzo for several UK customers on a weekly, often twice-weekly basis.

The regulations are very involved, and depending on the type of waste, obtaining approval and routing can be an arduous task. Nonetheless, having made steps in the right direction and gained valuable real-time experience, we are gradually introducing the carriage of waste into other areas of our business.

Customer service is impeccable

Hi Tony

May I say, on behalf of Clarkes, that your customer service is impeccable and to be kept abreast of the situation was very helpful.

Let’s hope this is the start of a mutual beneficial working relationship!
