Service Information
Thessaloniki, also known as Thessalonica, is the second largest city in Greece and the capital of the Greek region of Macedonia. Thessaloniki is Greece’s second major economic, industrial, commercial and political centre, and a major transportation hub for the rest of South Eastern Europe.
It is here where you will find our Greek partners second facility in Kalochori.
Our freight service to Thessaloniki
- Our road freight services to and from Thessaloniki are also twice weekly departing every Tuesday and Friday. In conjunction with our Athens cargo, and often separate, we provide a transit time of 4-5 working days from depot to depot, a Tuesday export arriving Thessaloniki the following Monday, and a Friday departure arriving the following Wednesday/Thursday
- As with Athens, we also transport dangerous goods to and from Thessaloniki in full scope of ADR and IMDG, and the same potential delays may arise in the case of some ‘freight-ship only’ chemicals
- From this hub our partners can distribute to most areas in the North East of Greece next day
Our services to and from Greece have done well during the Covid-19 pandemic, having lapsed in quantity for little more than a month. Whilst most freight does focus around Athens, our regular transport services to Thessaloniki importantly complement the line.
