Service Information
Previously part of our general forwarding services, we are pleased to introduce our own direct service, which we have commenced from August 2023. The UK is Poland’s fourth largest export market, as well as being a large purchaser of chemicals from the UK.
We have engaged with a small company who is strategically placed almost dead centre, just 50km off the main E30 route to its capital, Warsaw. And both Berlin and Hanover in Germany are en passant when travelling to and from the UK.
Our freight services to/from Poland
Whilst a new service, we are committed to providing a twice-weekly service to and from Poland. As the service develops further we will increase this number.
Distribution throughout Poland for smaller shipments is undertaken by our partners, and for larger consignments, subject to customs formalities, direct deliveries on trailer can be made to speed up delivery.
As with all of our services, we can provide the carriage of dangerous goods as well as freight of all kinds to and from Poland.
Our partner in Poland
Our road freight logistics partner in Poland is Siga Transport , and has been in business since 2010. Located near Kalisz, they provide services to most of the EU, predominantly Germany and the UK, from their secure warehouse facilities.
Their facilities are also bonded which has specific advantages when processing their import clearances, especially when importers have their own designated customs providers. Hand-overs can be completed without the need to travel to different customs points, thus saving time (and money).
Starting with just a single truck, they now have 25 of their own fleet, all of which are covered by constant GPS monitoring. Furthermore, all of their drivers are ADR certified which supports our specialisation in the Carriage of Dangerous Goods.
