We have been informed by our Italian partners that TRASPORTO UNITO, the largest national transport association, has officially confirmed that there will be a strike starting at 00:00 on April 20th until 23:59 on Saturday, April 25th 2026. This decision will likely cause major disruptions to road transport throughout the entire week.
Even though many hauliers may choose not to formally adhere to the strike or may not participate actively, we cannot rule out significant issues affecting all operators in the sector. There is serious risk that those involved in the strike action may organise road blocks or prevent heavy vehicles from accessing fuel distribution points.
At this stage, we are not in a position to make precise predictions about the direct consequences on shipments and warehouse activities. The situation will need to be monitored hour by hour, and we will only be able to assess the real impact day by day as events unfold.
