In the early 2000s, many companies wouldn’t work with companies who did not have accreditations such as ISO9001, or BS5750 as it was beforehand. But that changed fairly quickly as it was evident that it didn’t truly equate to good service. I’ve never been a true fan of this, but with the need to acquire AEO status to expand our customs capabilities post-Brexit, we were accredited with ISO9001:2015 as its prelude.
Having now obtained AEO status, this will enable us to do more for our customers, safe in the knowledge that their customs processes are being handled compliantly. It will also enable us to have greater control as we will become authorised consignors in our own right, streamlining the issuance of Transit documentation.
