Somewhat ‘out of the way’ to many road freight transport companies are the regions of Brittany and the Loire-Atlantique. Of the cities of these regions, Nantes is probably the most important. Historically a part of Brittany, it is now the administrative centre of the Loire-Atlantique and is the third largest financial centre of France after Paris and Lyon.
As Nantes generates a huge amount of jobs and wealth with its industries, it is a key area in France and the reason why including this in our road freight services to France was essential.
Our freight service to Nantes and Brittany
Smaller shipments and those requiring specialist delivery vehicles (such as tail-lift or Hiab vehicles) are served via our Paris service, whilst larger road freight shipments are delivered directly on trailer. This not only enhances speed and efficiency, but also mitigates the risk of damages which can be caused by transshipment.
- We provide a minimum twice-weekly road freight service every Tuesday and Friday to Nantes via Paris or direct on trailer
- Transit times between our Manchester and Paris depots are usually 2 days
- Distribution times from Paris depot are up to 2 days
- ADR and Temperature-Controlled services are available on most departures
