UK Domestic Transport
We have often been asked about UK domestic haulage, but as our focus has always been on International freight consolidation, we have shied away such business – until now, that is.
In November 2021 we formed a sister company – ITAL TRANSPORT (UK) LIMITED – to handle some of our own domestic requirements, but also to handle domestic transport for consignments moved solely within the UK (or rather GB) for external clients.
The fleet of vehicles has gradually expanded, and now comprises:
- 5 x 26 ton vehicles, each with tail-lifts,
- 2 x 44 ton units,
- 2 x 13.6M trailers, and
- a long wheel-based van.
In keeping with the groups ability to transport dangerous goods, all drivers are ADR trained and all vehicles are ADR compliant, and like ourselves, they also hold a Waste Carriers Licence (Upper Tier).
With the emphasis on high standards, safety and compliance, Ital Transport also became FORS compliant (Bronze) three years ago and continues to meet the standard at an excellent level.
